![]() What'd be great is that an owner of a 990 does the same. Maybe an init patch with only one tone with sawtooth, and filter sweep across the audio range several times with different values of resonance. Thanks Umcorps, I'd really appreciate that!įirst of all I'd like to hear the filter on it's own. I don't want to spend a lot of time on this but if you can be specific about what you want to hear I'll do what I can. If you let me know which presets in particular you would like to hear, I'll record you a few bars of each so you can hear them as uncompressed audio with no added fx ![]() Don Solaris has a comparison of the differences on his site - the jd and xv5080 have higher sample rate and I think the filters are slightly different, but not really much in it. I don't think you'll hear any difference between any of the jv, jd or xv series by listening to youtube videos anyway as they have a very similar engine and largely share the same waveforms. I just can't believe no one had ever thought of doing this.įair enough. Also, I would love to actually hear a direct comparison of the jd990 filter versus newer modules. All I need is to hear one decent demo of the 5080 playing that type of sound (and not all the general midi soup that's on YouTube). I wonder how close to these sounds I can get with a 5080. I absolutely love the sound of the jd990's pads that can be heard on the numerous demos on YouTube. I already have a bunch of real analogue synths with great filters for my basslines and leads, I'm interested in the jd990/xv5080 solely for pads and soundscapes types of sounds. Ok let me try to rephrase my request a bit: So I'm not interested in s 3080 which is nothing but a stripped down version of the former.
